Monique Larouche
Monique Larouche - Artist Monique Larouche is an international professional artist in visual art. She has exposed in solo in Kyoto (Japan), three times in Paris (France) and in the Museum of Charlevoix in Québec. She has also many individual and collective exhibitions in many art galleries in Winnipeg and Québec City. She has been a recipient of grant from Manitoba Arts Council and Winnipeg Art Council. She is native of Québec and has lived in Winnipeg for ten years. She is a rare combination of artist and scientist. She has a doctorate (PhD) in psycho-pedagogy and has made research in educational and experiential dimensions of art. She used drawing, sculpture, painting for development of self-consciousness and self-esteem. Her creative style in acrylic and watercolor is intuitive and she establishes links between color, form and movement. She is now in the process of developing new compositional forms in which she incorporates influences from Japanese art as well as to add these new artistic and cultural influences to her work.
