Bruce Head 1939 - 2010
Winnipeg, Manitoba Painter and sculptor Bruce Head graduated from the University of Manitoba School of Art in 1953. Since then, he has pursued an active career as a designer, painter and sculptor Head's credits include solo exhibitions and participation in group shows across Canada. His work has been exhibited at the Winnipeg Art Gallery, the London Regional Gallery, the Art Gallery of Hamilton, the National Gallery of Canada, the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, the Saidye Bronfman Centre, the Art Gallery of Ontario, the Confederation Centre, the Mendel Art Gallery, the Art Gallery of Windsor, the Galeria del Sol in Cozumel, Mexico, and more. His work is also regularly seen at the artists' collective Site Gallery in Winnipeg. Bruce Head's work can be found in many public and corporate collections including the National Gallery of Canada, the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, the Art Gallery of Hamilton, the Canada Council Art Bank, the Winnipeg Art Gallery, Great West Life Assurance Company, the Law Society of Manitoba, and the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce.
